Test Prep Designed with Neurodiverse Learners in Mind
All three of our test prep programs have an unusual format.
We don't charge by the hour, but by the result: a one-time flat fee for as much prep as a student needs in a certain timeframe.
This allows us to devote the maximum amount of care and attention to each student. It also ensures that students who are slower learners aren't charged disproportionately more.
We require all students interested in ACT or SAT prep to begin with the Score Potential Discovery Package, which you can access by clicking the button below.
Option #1:
One-on-One All-Inclusive Test Prep with Jonah
No-strings-attached all-inclusive test prep exclusively with Jonah. Pick a goal score and work towards it with multiple meetings each week, daily check-ins, regular parent updates, around-the-block support, supervised mock tests, and a score guarantee: we will work towards your score until you achieve it on an official test. Basically, pick a score and I’ll do everything in my power to get you there.
Unlimited one-on-one test prep sessions, starting at twice a week (we work up to more if we're falling behind schedule)
Work entirely with Jonah for verbal, math, and strategy
Bi-weekly mock test score check-ins to make sure we're on track (milestones determined at program start)
Daily progress check-ins to make sure work is being completed on time and as specified
Only four students enrolled at a time
Best For: students who need a lot of points, or who have a scholarship opportunity that depends on the test score
Option #2:
One-on-One 12-Week Score Sprint
One-to-one test prep for twelve weeks with expert tutors. Hours of instruction each week, supervised practice tests, around-the-clock support, regular updates for parents, and our milestone system to keep students on track - if students do the work, they earn credit towards more tutoring for tests past the 12 weeks.
Start with 2 sessions/week, work up to more if we're falling behind schedule (as measured on regular practice tests)
Work entirely with Jonah for verbal, math, and strategy
Only four students enrolled at a time
Best For: students who need a lot of points, or who have a scholarship opportunity that depends on the test score
Option #3:
Small Group for Self-Starters
This program is intended for hard-working high school students who didn’t score as high as they expected to score on the ACT or SAT (real or mock test, or PSAT, or even Pre-ACT).
It's designed for students who will follow a week-by-week ACT/SAT action plan tailored specifically to their needs and timeline, and who would benefit from weekly small group meetings to keep them on track and accountable with their work.
It includes:
An initial consultation meeting to set expectations and gather information
A custom study plan based on their goals and timeline, for them to work through on their own during the program
Multiple weekly small group meetings with us and their peers to keep them on track and answer questions about content and test strategy
Personal check-ins and program adjustments throughout the week
All the software, analytics, and physical curriculum they’ll need to complete their custom study plan
How to Get Started
All students start with a comprehensive assessment to help us discover which test they should take and how much prep they should plan on doing to reach their goal score. It includes:
1-hour cognitive assessment to identify their strengths and growth areas
Their learner profile, full assessment results, and ACT vs SAT comparison chart
45-minute consultation to go through the results and my recommendations
A personalized week-by-week study plan to take the student all the way until the test (whether we work together or not)
Every student interested in working with us should start with this assessment package. This is also a great offer for anyone who isn't necessarily interested in tutoring, but just wants to know which test they should take and how much prep they should do.

FAQ
What are your rates?
All our test prep students start with an assessment + 45m consultation + study plan package, which costs $197. Referrals from past clients and education professionals are eligible for 50%-100% off.
Each test prep program varies widely based on the student, because we offer unlimited sessions: as many as you need to reach your goal score. That means that the hourly rate each family pays is extremely variable, and we're hesitant to list anything here as I don't want to set any kind of expectation--low or high.
Since each program involves a different number of hours, the final hourly rate equivalent is highly variable, but it usually ends up in the $120-$220 range.
Do you only work with neurodiverse students?
We also work with neurotypical students if they are a good fit for our thorough approach.
Most, but not all, of our students have learning differences of some kind. About two-thirds of our current students (as of January 2025) have what we would call a "learning disability".
Most of the remainder are what we would call "gifted" kids. The common theme is students who don't learn at their best in a traditional classroom and who would benefit from instruction that is more personalized to their preferences.
Which learning differences do you have experience with?
We have extensive experience working with autistic students, and about half of our students at any given time, on average, are autistic.
Many of our students also present with a combination of an attention disorder (ADD/ADHD) and a processing disorder (like dyslexia or dyscalculia).
We have less experience working with students who identify as disabled in other ways, but have worked with students with cerebral palsy, traumatic brain injuries, and deaf people. We are looking to develop our expertise more in these areas and are willing to lower our rates to compensate for our lack of experience when compared to the hundreds of other students we've worked with without these disabilities.
Do you offer in-person lessons, or only virtual?
We occasionally host small group lessons in the Charlottesville, VA area. The remainder of our lessons are conducted virtually via Zoom and other software tools we use to enhance our instruction.
